Oh man that is so true. The week of NSA and Benthics I spent more time correcting major issues with powerpoint presentations than anything else. People had 100+ MB powerpoint files for a 15 minute talk. Some of them were choking out borrowed presentation computers. One came in to us 20 minutes before the session was due to start, fortunately they were the last presenter, but the original file was 210MB.
Or the brown bag presentation that ran 82 slides for a 20 minute presentation. Wow!! My eyes glazed over so fast....
Kevin works at the Duke Marine Lab as a researcher at the Marine Conservation Molecular Facility studying the population genetics of vent fauna.
